EQUIPMENT SELECTION

Your choice of equipment is either going to make you successful or eat up most of your profits in repairs and servicing. You can do everything right, and have the wrong equipment and your chances for success will be greatly diminished. This may include using pre-owned washers and dryers, the wrong configuration of top loaders, front loaders and dryers, or just buying new, poorly constructed equipment.

It is of great importance to use the brand and configuration of equipment that can take the sustained use that your business is going to generate. If you plan on being a long term owner, do not cut corners on your most important asset. If you take good care in choosing and maintaining your equipment, your equipment will take care of you and your customers.

The configuration of your equipment will be made up of commercial dryers, top load washers and different size front load washers. Some markets do not even use top load washers (these are the home-style washers that open from the top). Front loaders washers are the heavy duty commercial washers with locking front door access. These will usually run from 20 pound capacity to as much as 80 pound capacity. They do come larger, but those are usually only found in hotels, hospitals and commercial laundry operations.

Dryers used in coin laundries are either the 30-pound single or 30 pound stack dryer. If you are using a number of 50 pound or 80 pound front load washers, you will need some 50 pound or 75 pound dryers to complement the washers that your are using.

Whether to use top loaders, or various size front loaders and dryers will be determined by the demographics within your area as well as which equipment your customers are accustomed to using. Sometimes the addition of bigger and better equipment is just what is needed to create a larger customer base as well as pulling customers away from competing coin laundries. Part of our service is to help you make those very important decisions. With the total knowledge of your market and your budget we can put together a complement of equipment that will generate the excitement, satisfaction and service that will help you achieve your financial goals.

We can also help you chose an equipment supplier and negotiate price on your behalf. Laundry equipment is expensive, and our knowledge of manufacturers and pricing can help you get what is best at a reasonable cost.
